We are Mock Turtle Soup!
Meet our souper duper improvisers:
Ellie Magaldi – President
Ellie is a junior animal and veterinary science major and is the leader of us lil’ turtles. Fun Fact: Ellie rehabilitated a bird over the summer! Talk about a real pheasant (pleasant) experience.
Liza Valero – Vice President
Liza is a junior Visual Arts major who tried to be an architect for a year but gave up because she said, and I quote, “it just didn’t sit right with me”. She is our vice-president and, thus, is sooorta cool. Fun Fact: She got hit with a vape on the intimidator and thinks its way funnier than it actually is.
Stephen Sartor – Business
Stephen is the business man, a keytar player, and a senior Electrical Engineer (talk about masochistic!) who aims to be on the next Billboard Top 100 with the music that he uploads on his Youtube Channel *cough cough* @rotrasx *cough cough* that has amassed a record breaking 19 subscribers! (“That’s a lot!” He says).
Thomas Gilbert – Advertising
Tommy G is arguably the most interesting and cosmically powerful of the group. He is a sophomore Chemical Engineer (Somehow even worse than Electrical! Actually I wouldn’t know, don’t quote me on that..) He says, and this I CAN quote, that he, “Knows his way around a smoothie” and swears that his 8 years of photography knowledge makes him qualified to photograph all animals of land and sea. No matter how hard we try we can’t seem to convince him that this is not the case.
Danny “Max” Zintsmaster
He is a Grad Electrical Engineering guy (idk how Grad students work) who is entering his FIFTH year as a turtle. (Talk about SEASONED) When he’s not playing with wires and licking batteries, he enjoys making content for his stand-up routine or his Twitch Channel. Fun fact: He feels that he should be an honorary member of Delta Zeta because he shares their initials.
Deepthi Prabhakar
Deepthi is a senior psychology major, and is surely psychoanalyzing every one of her fellow improvisers to determine our strengths and weaknesses to emerge victorious in our annual improv gladiator arena. On or off the court you will find that she could give you a good cricket lesson. Fun Fact: You can observe Deepthi any time in her natural habitat: Moe Joe’s Coffee!
‘Klay’ton Curtis
Klay is a sophomore and 2nd year turtle who makes his daily commute from Anderson- aka the Great Migration. Klay is majoring in Business Management and minoring in Nunnery. When he’s not in the boxing ring he’s serving up wallops on the mainstage of lee hall with his ‘improv-fists’. Fun Fact: He is as rich as his middle name: Golden!
Josh MacCudden
Josh is a senior economics major and a 2nd year turtle! His favorite artist is Olivia Rodrigo which is concerning considering how little you’d think he could relate to lyrics meant for 16 yr old girls who just got dumped, but more power to him! If he’s not at improv practice on a Sunday afternoon, you can find him being a business mogul for his own company or being putt-naked on the green! (it happens more often then you would think)
Bryson Sanders
Bryson is a sophomore graphic communications major. He is the start of our list of noobs! Bryson brings to scene what he likes to call “right-handed pizzazz” which is strange, given that he is left-handed. Whenever Bryson is not tearing up the stage in Lee Hall 111 during select Fridays at 7 pm, you can find him kicking a multitude of boxes. At least FIVE! Ironically, he throws a lot of left hooks.
Madison Mager
Madison is another one of our first-year turtles. She is a freshman animal and vet. science major (Mager). She is known for zip lining down inconspicuous ropes in a ghost costume. We are not entirely sure why, given that she does it even after Halloween ends… Her favorite hobbies include: 1. Bringing back the dab. 2. Listening to Podcasts. 3. Animal things. What kind of animal things? The ones that involve vet. science of course!
Jack Walsh
Jack is also one of our first-year turtles. Jack is a freshman computer science major. He is arguably the best at games in the group but is often times too humble to let us lose completely. Fun fact: He learned the story of Star Wars from playing Lego Star Wars before ever watching the movies. Similarly, he has a theoretical (I think) reservoir of DnD knowledge larger than the Grand Canyon. When Jack is not ‘proving in practice, he is most likely understanding the lethality of companies.
Hannah Goforth
Hannah is another also of our first-year turtles. She is a freshman chemistry major. She has a strange interest in “fizzy solutions”. We are not incredibly sure if that is soda, but we are hopeful it is. Hannah is our intern for the year, meaning that she is often seen carrying a table. Fun fact: Hannah is double jointed in both elbows. That means that she has twice the elbows (don’t quote me on that)!
Katelynn Hughes
Katelynn is rounding out the group being our final noob. She is a senior Mechanical Engineer. Her hobbies include: 1. launching rockets (which is actually super cool like how do you even go about doing that). 2. being a twin. 3. and watching sports the “‘ockey style”. She is known for collecting key chains and other nicknacks. Katelynn has a jar for it in her room with a surplus of buttons and small shells. Not exactly sure where she gets the shells.
